Daniel Weiss is a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Virginia in the Program for Classical
Art and Archaeology in the Department of Art History. He received his BA at Mary Washington College in 2003 and his MA at the
University of Virginia in 2005. His Master's Thesis is entitled: xemplum Virtutis: The Stoic Vein in Trajanic Art.
He has worked with the Porolissum Forum Project since 2006 and is writing
his dissertation on the topography of the region as it affects movement
and control.
