A good friend of mine, Peter Cooper, hosts a website that links artists of all genres (literature, painting,
photography...) and of all nationalities in order to help give sense back
to this crazy world in which we live. To steal his own words: "The plan is very simple: a group of artists from around the world
(developed initially between Romania and the United States), who work via
an interactive website and regular travel designed to promote their work
in the public and distribute their work (or print-on-demand versions) via
the internet. The artists will include painters, photographers and digital
artists in the visual category; writers, poets, novelists and playwrights,
in the literary section; musicians, filmmakers, and monologuists in the
performance division. All media will be downloadable or produced on demand
and shipped from local sites around the world. At some point in time, it
is anticipated that a portion of all proceeds will be designated for distribution
to non-profite organizations involved in the care and education of young
people, especially those endangered by health or social problems."
